If you ask anyone in Boulder about The Buff, you’re going to hear a plethora of awe-inducing reactions. And there’s a reason. The Buff has a large variety of meals for every eater, all centered around the best meal of the day- brunch.
If you arrive between 9AM and 12PM (especially on weekends) you’re most likely going to have a thirty-minute wait, but it is well worth it. You can order a coffee drink while you’re waiting and it will last you the entire meal (they’re served in quart-sized mason jars) and the wait will be over before you know it!
Their iced lattes are amazing, but if you’re ready for a cocktail they serve 99 cent Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s, and Tequila Sunrises. My favorite, however, is the Tatanka (pictured above) for $8. Yes, it is also served in a quart-sized mason jar, so I recommend sharing with a friend.
As far as food goes, my go-to is the Ole Skillet (pictured above) with eggs-your-way, potatoes, chorizo, onions, green chiles, jalapenos, cheddar, and your choice of queso or green chile sauce (I always get both). Other great options are the Breakfast Tacos, Buff BBP, and any of the Benedicts.
The Buff goes beyond great food with even greater service, since the wait is usually long they spare no time and get you your food right away! It is a Boulder staple that never gets old.
